Be sure to have your Adoption Application in order and sent to us for our records.
. Most ground shipping companies charge $350 to start and then add the charges of the destination by zip code - which could be $50.00, and more - especially with the gas prices up so far. So keep that in mind. Also, most ground shipping companies deliver a number of puppies at once, so you may not get the puppy on the exact day you want it.
**** I DO NOT to ship puppies by air. - So I try very hard to get the puppies delivered by ground shipment. Plus it is a 6 hour round trip for us to get the puppy to an airport, and that cost is added in to your shipping cost.*****
Depending on the area, the puppies may be ground delivered by us to a central location to be picked up by their new families. This service will cost $350 regardless of how long it takes us to get there.
We can personally deliver the puppy to the Northeast, East, Southeast, and Midwest. We will set up a central location to meet with you and hand deliver your new puppy to you. The central location is not more than an hour, maybe 2, from where you live, and usually at a restaurant, or easy parking area where the puppies can get out and run around. We do not deliver to your door, as some places are confusing to get in to. If we can't find a convenient place to meet you, or if you do not want to drive to meet us, we can have you arrange other shipping arrangements.. We will be as accommodating as possible, but remember, we are doing the majority of the traveling....
Shipping charges will be due at least 1 week before delivery of the puppy.
The puppies are delivered in our own crate where they can snuggle together during the trip. We can bring a crate that is the correct size for your puppy to grow into for an additional charge. Let us know ahead when the puppies are 4 weeks old that you would like one. Check out our Pet Store for things you may need.
We will ground ship the puppies through another company. The cost of this is dependent on their prices, not mine. Unlike us, these companies will deliver to your door. If you live in the Western States, this is probably the way the puppy will get to you. I will let you know the cost and set up the delivery.

From the NYC/New Jersey/Pennsylvania area, we can meet you in Morgantown, WV.
From the Ohio/Kentucky area, we can meet you in Parkersburg or Huntington area.
From the Virginia/North Carolina area we can meet you in the Bluefield, WV area
This is a free service, and will save some of you 4.5 hours or more drive-time to get to High Lonesome Ranch.

Flying Into Pick Up Your Puppy If you would like to fly into Charleston, WV to pick up your puppy, be sure the airlines allows you to take the puppy in the cabin with you... DO NOT let them tell you that they don't allow it and the puppy will be safe in the cargo area. The puppy WILL NOT be safe and I cannot guarantee a healthy puppy at the end of that trip.
If you are close enough and would like to pick your puppy up, a day and time will be set up for you to come and pick up your puppy. we live in a very secluded area, so our dogs are well protected from any diseases. However, if you come and pick your puppy up, please be sure that your hands are washed, your shoes are clean and you are not around any other dog that day - even in rest areas, etc...
You must have an appointment in advance because we devote a lot of time to care and health of our dogs. We ask that if you have children you bring only your children and not the neighbors kids too, we ask that as adults only the people wanting a new puppy come to visit, unless you are out of state and your parents or a relative wants to come view our home. We know you will not be disappointed in our dogs or our hospitality.
Remember to wear appropriate clothes - the puppy will want to climb on you and be close to you, so wear old clothes. Also, there are other animals that you may see on High Lonesome Ranch. It can get muddy up here - especially in the Spring or Fall, so be sure to have appropriate footwear - nice shoes can get ruined....
